“The Antics Charity has been amazing and I have learnt a lot from them.  I think Antics is a fabulous horse, kind natured and stunning.  The charity has helped my parent buy an Equi-lock tack box for me and my horse, that I am now back riding again after all my treatment”  K. Lewis
“I would like to thank you for the TV you bought me before Christmas and for the trip to Manchester to visit Old Trafford – we all had a really good day out.”
Do you know a child who could do with our help?

Who we support:

Children and young people up to the ages of 18 who are under treatment for cancer, have a sibling or parent under treatment or have suffered the bereavement of a sibling or parent through cancer in such charitable ways as the Trustees may from time to time determine.

In order to prevent false claims for funds from the charity, ‘Antics’ asks that applications are made through a regulated body such as a school or hospital.  Measures are in place to ensure legitimacy of cases.  The charity provides funds by way of grant aid or through the purchase of goods or for social needs such as a relief break for the child.  With regards to funding, the Trustees will judge each case on its own merits determining how best funds will be utilized. We work closely with CLIC Sargeant and Social Services.

Examples of support we have given:

Special family day outs - to Chessington Zoo, Manchester Football Club, Legoland

‘Wishes’ – granting an item that would mean a lot to a bereaved child.   We have fulfilled wishes such as a Clarinet or TV, even a cuddly toy.

Support in treatment – we sponsored a horse whispering course for a child in remission.

Memorable Holiday – we supported two young children, whose mother is terminally ill with cancer to go on a family trip to Disneyworld.
